My partner, Jeanette and I have been operating the South Street Cottages for almost 20 years. The idea of using cottages as interesting and homely accommodation came from a trip we made to Australia when we stopped in coonawarra to sample the local wines. We inquired about accommodation and we were directed to a lovely cottage in the small town of Coonawarra called "Skinner Cottage". We both simultaneously thought, 'Why don't we do this in Nelson??' 19 plus years later we have 3 charming cottages in South Street, Nelson, tow of which we completely renovated. We run the cottages virtually on our own and love it. Over the years we have met some wonderful people, a number of which have become good friends. We still enjoy the great feedback we get and have come to regard South Street as our second home.
