My wife Donna and I were both born & raised in Houston TX. Married in 1970 and began our family soon thereafter. We moved to Tampa FL in 1986, were we lived until I retired in 2008 and we made the big leap to our dream house in Playa Samara.

We purchased our lot in 2003, and immediately began planning the house and the move. After almost 3 long years of construction the finish of the house coincided with the sale of the house in Tampa, so it was time for the adventure to begin.

Our 2 kids and 6 smiling grandkids are still in the States, but we get to have all of them here at least once a year, and we make it back to the States 2-3 times a year to spend time with them.
I really hope you have decided on Samara for your destination, you will love the laid back attitude of the town and the friendly people that live and visit here. We have a great expat community - friends from all over the world that work hard to support Samara and keep it as it is!

Even if you don't pick our place, please don't miss Samara - nobody only comes only once.....it is a very special little piece of paradise!
