Villa Merah(= Red House) was built in 2007 by a local contractor, local laborers and also the garden was done by locals. The grounds had to be developed, there was no electricity, no running water and a very poor road. Building time took around 8 months. Villa Merah is used and enjoyed by us (Jan, Monica and little Mei Mei, our families and a circle of friends.
