Our family of 5 (plus 2 dogs!) lives in Portland and we like doing all the typical Portland things: biking, hiking and camping when the weather's good, and watching movies and drinking coffee (ok, not all of us) when it's rainy.
We chose to build a vacation home in Seaside because it's a really fun family beach town and very accessible from Portland.
Being at this house feels like vacation to us thanks to the hot tub, fireplace, and foosball table, as well as the absence of chores to do like at home! The kids love playing on the beach no matter the weather, and it's just a comfortable place to which we love to escape.
