Started as a vacation rental in 2006 and have hosted over 150 guests using other vacation rental websites. The 100 year old house was purchased in 1995. At the time it was abandoned, condemned, and on a path toward demolition. During the renovation, the roof was raised to make room for a living space in the "attic". The attic apartment was completed in 1997 and rented as an unfurnished apartment for nine years. In September, 2006, it was converted to a vacation rental with the name of "An Affordable Urban Retreat." Later, we changed the name to "La Vita Oasis Retreat," and more recently, simply the "Urban Retreat. We think you'll like it here, our guests have.
