Steve and Susan Miller fell in love with Las Terrenas when they first visited the Samana Peninsula to go whale-watching in 2008. The Millers live in Louisville, Kentucky, USA and purchased Casa Pura Vida as a vacation home and as a rental property for travelers looking for an alternative to cramped hotel rooms or impersonal all-inclusive resorts. Susan in Louisville in the summer and stays in the new "Sky Terrace" in Las Terrenas in the winter so she ALWAYS enjoys warm weather! :)
