22 years ago Alexander bought the land Casa Cielo sits on. It was cattle pastures and now it is a 5- acre paradise... a true safe haven to plants, animals and our guests! Alex, Stuart and Veronica all tend to the many fruit trees, the dogs, cat, chickens, and fish . We believe in changing the world starting from the inside out (our inside). Our house is on this natural paradise too. We are only a phone call away. We are available to help with planning your stay, making reservations, telling you what is worth your while, etc.
More recently, we opened up our 112-acre ranch, Rancho el Rio, to guests. It is a true working organic farm, but it also has the benefit of having over a mile of river front and forest with all the beauty and wildlife that comes along with that. Our hope for this Ranch is to bring the notion of rural, sustainable tourism to the area thus helping alleviate the many environmental problems that the lack of stable employment has caused in this region.
