Warren built the retreat by hand from scratch. Previously he was a log home builder & used these skills to make his dream of a home in the woods a reality. We now share that dream with our guests offering a secluded, private & serene atmosphere where people can commune with nature. We believe that spending time in nature provides a reminder of our place in the world. It is in nature where we get away from the distractions & get in touch with our own being & feed our soul. A nature retreat like ours is the best place to achieve this. Built with this in mind, Tantalus View Retreat is a place to relax, un-connect from life's busy-ness & de-stress. We live a low carbon footprint, low stress life ourselves & are pleased to offer the same privilege to others. We like to joke that the only place there is stress on this property is in the hot tub, because so many people have left theirs there!
