I've been hosting guests in Berkeley since 2002 after growing up in a household where guests, mostly scientists from around the world visiting Caltech, were always welcome! As a first-generation American and frequent traveler, I'm really attuned to helping people find their way in a new place. A native Californian who's lived in the Bay Area since 1987 and Berkeley since 1997, I'm a foodie, art collector, green building expert, marketing/management consultant, social entrepreneur, organic gardener, hiker, theatre lover, singer, and enjoy meeting new people. I've also been quite involved in getting this neighborhood prepared for an emergency, so if you're concerned about our "shaky" reputation, you'd be in good hands here. ;-)
