Tamara Schluter
After renovating “that pink and purple house” on top of the hill, Tami greeted guests at the Historic Hutchinson House B&B, a beautiful 1892 Queen Anne Victorian, on Mother’s Day 2008. Tami’s vocational path as an inn-keeper is full of twists and turns. Her formal training is in graphic design and her prior work experience includes various aspects of business promotion, development, and sales. As Tami’s vocational goals evolved, she realized that operating Faribault’s only bed and breakfast fulfills her simple desire to serve people. Prior to relocating to Faribault, Tami ventured on faith-centered mission trips to Mexico, Africa and Ukraine. Since moving to Faribault she has been active in the community earning the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and continues to serve the community in various capacities.
Being born and raised a “City” kid in the Twin Cities western suburbs, Tami now feels “at home” in historic Faribault.
