I picked la Chouette because I wanted the convenience of being ski in and ski out and being able to walk to the beach in the summer. This ultra convenient location is fabulous. When the kids were small they dressed inside and skied from the door. It also meant we could come back for a forgotten item easily and quickly. It also meant that we did not have to coordinate schedules and rides to and from the mountain. In both the summer and winter the kids could play outside and we could watch them from the windows. We could easily walk to the beach. As the kids got older they were free to go out on their own without being chauffered around. As the village is right next door all the amenities are there including the pool, restaurants, movie theatres and shopping. We are next to everything but not on top of it so it is much quieter than in the village itself.
