Daphne and Boyd bought the house from the estate after her parents' deaths because they could not bear to sell a place with so many wonderful memories attached! The house was designed and built by her parents in the early 1960's primarily because they loved sailing and so they always kept a sailboat there. Her father (a physician) was a talented amateur architect and her mother was an artist. The unique design of the house is a testimony to their joint creativity. Their lifelong love affair is celebrated in a mosaic tile table in the living area that they designed and personally made. In it are embedded symbols that translate into: 'man + woman = infinity.' We love the solitude and privacy of Fiddler's Green for reading, study, and hobbies while enjoying the wildlife and the ever-changing scene on the bay.
