We have always loved to travel to tropical places. When we first visited Guana Cay in 2000, we fell in love with the island - and the wonderful people who live there. Great Guana Cay offers a way of life - for visitors, homeowners and residents alike - like no other tropical destination we'd visited in the past. After our second visit, we knew we wanted to buy property and build a cottage on Guana Cay. As luck would have it, L'il Gecko had just been completed while we were there and the owner/builder wanted to sell. We bought the property and began to make improvements to make it truly ours (the decks, tropical gardens and interior work have our touch and feelings - and in some cases our blood, sweat and tears). Today, L'il Gecko is a "Jim-and-Kathy" cottage built and maintained the way we would like to have it if we were arriving for our first visit. It is our second home - and your home away from home.
