EAST VILLAGE APARTMENTS

Sudha grew up in India with parents who loved traveling. The family traveled in a private saloon on wheels that was attached to the train of their choice. Wherever we went, we would be hosted by local families in the small and 'off the beaten path' towns & villages in India. This sowed the seeds for a lifelong passion to travel as an insider. In 1976, I moved to the wild and beautiful island of Sardinia, Italy with my husband. London followed Italy. During our time in London we traveled the small towns of Scotland, Wales & nearby European countries, before settling in NYC in 1981. I quickly fell in love with the casual, funky vibe of the East Village. We always vacationed with our boys--picking one country, renting a home in a small town & settling in with the locals. This style of staying in people's homes in small unique neighborhoods of the world, prepared me to be a hostess to all the wonderful families who are now my guests at the East Village Apartments.
