In 1997, Tony Clark became the Vermont Innkeeper with the longest tenure—three decades at Blueberry Hill. During this time, Clark also began to form the Moosalamoo Association, a land trust partnership between the Green Mountain National Forest and local partners in which cost sharing and public funding helped preserve the Moosalamoo region of the Green Mountains. This initiative will be Clark’s legacy for Blueberry Hill. In November, 2006, the renowned Moosalamoo Region has become the Moosalamoo Recreation Area, second in Vermont to the White Rocks National Recreation Area.
The Inn presides over its own 70 acres of forest, woodlands, trails, lakes, ponds and alpine terrain.
