In 1989 my husband and I purchased Aughton Hall and the Old Coach House at that time was a ruin attached to part of the outbuildings. We re-built it and in 2011 it started its new life as a holiday let although regretfully we parted company with Aughton Hall itself in 2009.
About me - In a previous life I worked in banking but retired from it a number of years ago so fill my time now with managing the property, looking after my ponies which are on the fields surrounding the property, voluntary work for the National Trust as a room guide in two of their York properties, U3A activities, gardening and generally enjoying life. I am a prolific animal lover and my small black labrador goes everywhere with me, so you will meet her. I love the site at Aughton and am proud of what has been achieved there. It is peaceful and a little bit quirky. I live a mile away so although I am there daily to check the ponies I will not be breathing down your neck during your stay.
