Of the 4 partners owning this rental, 3 of us (Mark, Ellen and Kris) are ceramic artist's... the 4th (Gina) a hospice education director. The street level of the building holds the clay studio and shop (Clay on Steele) where we teach and sell our work. As retirement edges near we have built these lofts out as a place we could be comfortable living in as we downsize our lives and travel. The lofts have a spacious open design, are comfortably furnished and accented with antiques and art from around the world as well as from local artisans. Kris and Gina live near by and deal with guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. All of our properties are fully furnished and have all the amenities of home! We also rent the Barnsite Retreat and the Miller Residence in nearby Kewaunee.
