Villa Habana Review The architect-owner designed this charmer with a vaguely New England look and spectacular water views. Good bones show in the careful details like tongue-and-groove joint work, cathedral ceilings, bedroom doors opening to the wonderful wood patio, and smart maximization of available space. The elegant simplicity continues with colonial-style touches (including four-poster beds), comfy cow-skin chairs, homey family sporting photos (golf to crew), and a gorgeous wood kitchen. Downstairs, a spacious track-lit playroom explodes with color from fabrics to vibrant art naïf. It's the ideal cozy, tasteful beach house.

We stayed in this stunning villa in February 2013. It was only three of us (my husband, our two-year-old son, and myself).
