I and my wife Loes are from The Netherlands and have pre-retired to the most beautiful corner of Europe, the End of the World (O Fim do Mundo, in Portuguese). We live right near Monte Bacana, and also not far from our other holidayhome, Quinta da Negracha. On the one hand - since we are local, we deal with our guests directly (from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between - except for our own small holidays, of course, then we'll have a trustworthy housekeeper in charge). On the other hand, we leave our guests alone as much as wanted. We have indeed our own activities, mainly recuperating from our former busy lives as an urban planner and a publisher's right hand by playing music and writing and playing tennis and "helping our gardener", and going for walks with our two ex-abandoned doggies or for a swim and belly surf! We are in the area since 1986 (although in the beginning only for holidays) but still a lot of our time gets consumed by local burocracy

At night with sparkling stars above your head and illuminated Sagres in the distance. Great! Very close to nice beaches good for swimming, surfing and relaxing in… See more
