The Costa Rica home came about when we took our first vacation after having 4 children in five years. We went to Manuel Antonio for 3 days and Tamarindo for 4 days. This was the first time we had children out of diapers since being married. My mom watched them while we were away. We enjoyed the brief stay so much that she told me to go back within 6 months to try and find a place that we could stay for a longer period of time. So the obedient husband that I was, my first opportunity came about by leading a group of surfers there for a week since I knew a little bit about the Country. While there, my job was to find us a beach front home where we could live for 3 or 4 months. I found one on that trip and we returned within the year taking the two toddlers and first and third grader with us. After that endless summer in December of the same year, I was told to find a beach house in the area to buy. I went back again and bought this house. It has been our family getaway ever since
