My husband, Bob, and I created Chez Margurites in 2008. We had built the Granny flat for Bob's Mum, Marguerite, hence the name. I had wanted just 'Marguerites" but apparently somewhere in the world already has that name. (To those who know French, sorry about the s on the end.) She later moved to Perth so it sat empty for a few years until I retired and had the idea to start a B and B.
We enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and Bob especially loved taking people on introductory tours of Broome. Sadly, he became ill and passed away in 2011. I am now in the process of starting up again.
I'm not the great tour guide he was but still hope to enjoy meeting my guests and make their stay enjoyable and memorable once I get up and running again.
Bob used to do airport pickups when needed and I will continue that but since I teach piano 3 afternoons a week my ability to pick up will depend on flight times.
I look forward to seeing you at Chez Marguerites sometime in the future.

Various goodies awaited us in the fridge, including a bottle of wine which we all shared. We felt very much at home. We liked the fact that we could be in our own space but were very much welcomed to share some time also with Bob and Carolyn if … See more
