Our intense love for animals brought us to Best Friends to volunteer and to see first hand what a very special place it is. Trained as wildlife biologists, we have always shared a passion for the environment. After our first trip to Southwestern Utah, we realized that this is where we were destined to retire to. Growing up in the Midwest, we met in the upper peninsula of Michigan while attending graduate school. From there, we spent 20 years in Maine building our equine, canine, and feline family! We currently live in south Carolina with our horses, donkeys, dogs, cat, and three very exuberant parrots!
