Nisa and Denise at Stonewall Ranch

It took Denise eight years to find the fabulous property that is Stonewall Ranch, and a few more years to renovate the Barn House from its humble history as Shasta County's oldest barn into a cozy mountain meadow retreat. We welcome our friends, old and new, and their well-behaved pets to share this woodland retreat with us.

This stunningly beautiful landscape is home to an array of wildlife. Wild turkey, California black bear, deer, the rare ring-tail cat, migratory and resident waterfowl and birds all make their home here. The people who share this mountain with them all have an abiding respect for nature.

Our neighbors include fabulous artists and craftspeople--many who have their work displayed in the Barn House (some for sale)--who take inspiration from their surroundings. You'll find fine artists, nature photographers, woodworkers, clock makers, weavers, bead artisans, and published authors who call this wonderful road "home."
