Now semi-retired, I work throughout Europe as a translator. I first came to Nocelle in the early 1980’s, while working as an artistic director in Denmark. It was love at first sight. Later, I was able to move here permanently and begin a series of theatre projects about Nocelle, involving the entire village and a group of brilliant young actors from Europe and North America. Ten years ago, I engaged local craftsmen to work with me in designing and building “The Secret Garden” as a place to live and create in this timeless village. Richard Fowler
