I lovingly renovated this old cottage, which had "no value" on appraisal when I bought it in 2001, from a state of total disrepair while raising my children and working full time as a psychiatric nurse. It was a long process, but worth every minute, and I've become quite a carpenter in the process! If you check out the Isabella House website, you'll get an idea of why it took so long. Most people are amazed when they see the "before and after" photographs. Special thanks go to local historic preservation efforts which kept this, and many other properties, from being demolished.
