My husband Joe and I are your Innkeepers. We are retired public school teachers who created and maintain Hallauer House B & B. Joe taught elementary gifted children and I taught Consumer Science and GRADS. The B & B is our retirement dream. We live on premises.We plan, shop, and prepare, and clean-up breakfast. We clean room. We maintain the pool, gardens, and yard. We created and now maintain our website. We make every effort to greet each guest when they arrive and give them a tour of the premises. We tell stories at breakfast about the history of Oberlin, the Underground Railroad, the Civil War, and any other topics guests are interested in. We are your concierge and your bellhop. Our only concern is that our guests are treated as we treat our family. When you stay with us you come as a stranger but leave as a friend.
