I grew up in Trinidad. After high school I attended the Caribbean Union College where I was first introduced to students and professors from all over the Caribbean. I transfered to York University in Canada and spent the next few years finishing my degree, working and making invaluable friendships there. Having spent that time being introduced to a new way of life and completely new culture, I found myself in a rut so I did it again, and uprouted myself to Turkey, were I spent the next few years in an even more confusing environment. LOL!. What an experience! New friendships, new language, new culture, the learning curve was ridiculous. After another few years, traveling around the surrounding countries, and making even stronger friendships, coming back home was supposed to be easy. Ha!. Trinidad has changed in the 12years I've been gone. But I trust my instincts, my ability to adapt and the hospitality skills that I've picked up from travelling over the globe.
