Carol Cross

David and Carol Cross are the lucky owners of Treviades Melyn. We have family nearby, so when the opportunity arose of having our own place, we jumped at it. Even in its derelict state this building was magnificent. The renovation project took 2 years, but we finished in the summer of 2009. We have taken a huge amount of care in transforming this wonderful building into a comfortable home and are looking forward to making it our permanent home as soon as we can give up our day jobs. We find the house and area very calming and relaxing. Looking out at the 180 degree view of fields and the Helford River you feel a million miles away from the bustle of every day life. But it is a very convenient location to reach civilization quickly. In the summer it is just wonderful to laze in the sun on the terrace, or go boating on the river and explore the tiny coves. Equally in the winter, there is nothing better than lighting the wood-burner and settling down with a good book or DVD.
