WHO WE ARE AND WHY WE LIVE IN LAPLAND
We often hear this question not only from our German friends and family but also from the natives. The answer to this question, however, is as diverse as the country from which we come from and the region in which we live now: from Germany to south of the Arctic Circle in Sweden. The Scandinavian north is generally regarded as eternal dark and always cold. Those who live here must really like the winter! And we do so! In addition two things which we have not seen in Central Europe: the feeling of personal freedom and unlimited length. Both belong together in the north as two sides of a coin: infinitely large forests, solitude in nature, living together with bears and elks, fishing in clear water, let the eye wander to the horizon without a city to visit - that is the freedom we have both sought and found here. That is why we have come to Lapland.
