My two sisters and I are Icelandic, all brought up in Iceland, although I presently live in Belgium. We divide between us the work in renting out the cabin. I do the paperwork, and they do the practical things that depend on one being locally situated. We take two weeks off the calender in the spring to do maintenance, like varnishing, etc. Our father, who was disabled, built this beautiful log cabin in the summer 2004, and our late stepmother furnished and decorated the cabin. She had an exceptionally good taste and an eye for detail. After our father's untimely death in 2009, my two sisters and I came into possession of the cabin. We decided to rent it out, as we would like to share this beautiful cabin with other people. We are extremely proud of the cabin and our father's achievements. This is the perfect cabin for people who want to experience a personalized cabin with its history, including the history of the people who built it and their descendents.
