My hubby and I are a long married couple who have lived in Austin twice now, for a total of about fifteen years. We really strive to create an attractive, comfortable, well equipped and furnished temporary home for our visitors, and try to do everything we can to accomodate our guests' needs and requests, but leave it to our guests how much/little interaction we have during their stay. Although new to our home and our neighborhood, we are proud of our property; having experienced living in several other Austin homes, high rises, condos & apts , we know that is a very special place, located in an interesting neighborhood with a long, rich history. We feel that our property name, "The Urban Suburban", truly describes our home & neighborhood - friendly, quiet, comfortable,w/nature all around, but with an urban vibe. We'll handle every step of the process directly,so that we can make a sincere effort to fulfill our guests needs and wants. In furnishing the house we have tried to make a comfortable, attractive, well furnished place for our guests to enjoy during their stay.

We have lived in the other side of this semi - detached home since January 2013, and completed the set up of the other side as a vacation rental in March 2013. No one stayed in the rental home before that time, since construction was completed in January. The Urban Sububan is a property dedicated to guests' use only. This is our only rental property and it is code compliant with the City of Austin - we're officially licensed as a Short Term Rental property - STR licences are actually required by the City of Austin via their Code Compliance office; the requirements for short term rental residences to obtain licensing were put in place by the city coucil in October of 2012; we applied for and received our licensing in April, 2013, since we purchased our place in Jan. 2013, and it took time to furnish the house and get it "guest ready".

Her dad told us that the poem rhymed before the translation into English! She is the oldest daughter in the picture of the family of four - she was ten when she drew/wrote this.
