We are Michael Hogan and Donna Shannon. I, Michael am a Toronto-born Canadian, who served 30 years in the Canadian Navy. I retired in 1996, and operated a physical fitness equipment repair company in Windsor, Ontario before being lured to this paradise by my Minnesota-born wife, Donna (a retired Eastern Airlines Flight Attendant). We met in 2005 through eHarmony (long story, but we could do the commercials) and married in 2006. Our courtship and honeymoon centered around the restoration/renovation of our lovely home. In fact, we decided to get married in the summer of 2006, but we agreed to wait until there was a rainy day to go to the courthouse (we didn't want to lose any painting/working time). It didn't rain until October 9th, 2006...a day made more special because of the wait, and the humor that ensued each morning as we looked for clouds.
