I was born in San Juan, PR, but raised in Washington DC. I am passionate about my island and our culture and am natural host to friends and family that visit. So I am excited and looking forward to hosting guest of Casa Estrella.

This house is not so much a financial investment, but more so a project of art and love! During the past 16 months we have dedicated our energies into restoring this house from the 1940's that I purchased over 8 years ago. My now husband, his father and close friends from Bulgaria were my team to turn this ruin into a home we've denominated Casa Estrella. It's name from the owner before us, who passed away at 103 years of age, Estrella Garcia Capella, the first female lawyer of Puerto Rico.

The house has been decorated with findings from my international travels, to include a floor mosaic out of coins from countries visited. I purchased this particular house because of its location, in a quaint, pedestrian friendly neighborhood, steps from the beach!
