I have both a journalism degree (MSJ from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism) and a law degree (JD from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Law).
As a journalist, I did internships for Washington Columnist Jack Anderson and Investigative Reporter Roberta Baskin at WLS-TV in Chicago. After graduating from Medill, I worked as a reporter for WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida.
As a lawyer, I worked at several well known Chicago Law Firms. Throughout my career I have done pro bono work including: legal work for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
I spent 3 decades in the Engineering and Software Technology industries as an Engineering Manager, Project Manager and Senior Software Consultant. Much of my work has been international, especially in Europe and Latin America.

Upon arriving to Guayaquil we stayed one night at the Marriott. The next day Elena met us for breakfast and escorted us on a two hour drive to La Libertad/ Salinas.
