Although I live across the pond, my 'heart is in the Highlands' since I first set foot on Skye, many years ago during my student days at Bennington College, in Vermont.
Our cottage, Tir nan Og (Scottish Gaelic: 'Land of the eternally young') on the Isle of Skye, on the Waternish peninsula, is very special to us. Completely (and lovingly) designed, every room is furnished and equipped with everything you could wish for- it is a real home, after all - not your typical rental cottage! I built Tir nan Og to a high standard (4 stars), because it is your home away from home, too. Please come and stay awhile. I welcome you to contact me with any questions (even travel questions to Scotland), by telephone, email, old fashioned mail or if you wish to talk with me via telephone, email me your contact details at email@example.com and include a time/day that is good for you.
Whether overseas or stateside, I am happy to telephone you, but please keep in mind that as i live in Oregon, USA, I am 8 hours earlier than GMT.

'A Hundred Thousand Welcomes' to you, in Scottish Gaelic, 'Cead mile Failte', anytime of year at Tir nan Og Cottage in Waternish, on Scotland's Isle of Skye - my favourite island in the world!

This place was awesome. Really it was the nicest apartment/cottage/house/B & B I have ever stayed at.
The place was so well maintained and clean... The garden was lovely...the rabbits entertaining...
The bed was comfy as were the sofa and chairs. Everything worked and you had everything I needed...
I will say that the weather was not very good, a lot of fog and low lying clouds but if I ever … See more
