I have lived in Santa Monica for several decades and certainly consider it home. It's a lovely place to live, close by the sea and in a beautiful area of Southern California, and a cooler place to live in the summer than our inland neighbors. Our Santa Monica property is a few short blocks from downtown; close to a great health food store, (the Co-op), Tiffany's (!) and Santa Monica place, yoga studios, restaurants, markets, the library and great coffee shops. In a few years the new metro will be a ten minute or so walk from where we are and over all it's a place one can find happiness and tranquility. Walking, bike riding, rollerblading; all options for getting around and all in an area that has so much to offer so close by!
