This is the third year my husband, a retired fire chief and I, a still-working nurse practitioner, have rented our home. We've owned the house since 1993, but with the economy issues and a daughter in college, we decided to encourage others to enjoy our home as much as we do. At first, I was anxious about having people we didn't know staying at our home. But everyone has been just terrific about caring for it as well as we do. Last year, we did some major updating, including tiling our upper bath , installing a new 52" flat screen TV with great speaker system, buying new linens for the beds and replacing all the carpeting. This year, we put in a new mahogany deck with glass windbreaks. We love it here so much and I know you will too.
