Dan & Ruthie Moller built Villa Flor de Cabrera in 2006 for the PONA Foundation, A family Trust dedicated to helping the people of Cabrera.
Dan & Ruthie manage the villa under the U.S. company name, Luxury Residence Management. They took on the project as a charity venture to help bring better education to the area. Ruthie, a retired teacher, gives 100's of hours a year to training teachers and administrators in the Cabrera area. The villa also supports two schools via villa rental revenues. In 2008 they created the Trade for Travel program that allows guest to trade donated school supplies for discounts on their villa rental. This program has met with great success. That was the comment from multiple younger members of our group. I think the adults felt the same. We uniformly had a great experience, your villa and its staff were exceptional. For the birthday boy, I know he will never forget this special time or the people that we met in the DR, I know none of us will. Greg McDowell and family
