Having been a travel journalist specialising in the luxury industry I hoped I could bring my experiences at some of the world's best hotels to the holiday cottage market in Scotland. My husband and I run Wedderburn Castle as a weddings and events venue and also have some lovely cottages in the grounds that are available as holiday rentals. These have all been renovated in recent years to create stylish spaces that still reflect their history as historic estate buildings. In 2012 we also took on Old Linthill, a larger property near the historic fishing village of Eyemouth on Scotland's East coast. This is now a perfect space for family holidays and a getaway for groups of 8-10 people. As well as providing accommodation we are also happy to help guests to plan their holiday and can provide comprehensive information on the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland.

Stayed at Garden cottage for a week in August.
Ideal location, quiet, yet within an easy drive to many historic houses and Edinburgh.
The cottage was well equipped, with wi-Fi, small TV, and laundry facilities.
Bathroom on ground floor with bath with shower, plenty of hot water.
Bedroom upstairs, views towards the castle, bed a little too low for us, and for those suffering with bad backs!!
