My family and I purchased at Cannes Village in 1984. I helped develop the property and built 12 2 bedroom 3 bath town homes on the ocean of which we rent 4 of them.We also have 2- 3 bedroom units we rent.
I traveled the entire Caribbean and settled on Freeport, Grand Bahama Island as it has everything yet is so close to the US and very inexpensive to get to and from. The ocean is very clean and the beach sand is soft and smooth.
The Bahamian people are very friendly and the area is very safe and quiet. There is a Duty Free shopping area and Casino and restaurants less than 3 miles from us as well as a Marina and car/scooter rental directly across the street.
