This semi detached cottage is located near the village of Frosterley, twenty miles from Durham and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms. 1 Whitfield Brow is a semi detached cottage, two miles from the village of Frosterley in County Durham, just fifteen miles from Barnard Castle. The cottage has two double bedrooms, one single room, a family bedroom and two bathrooms, making it suitable for eight people. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen, a sitting room with a dining area, a games room and a conservatory with a hot tub. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Whitfield Brow provided a perfect base for our week's holiday in Weardale. We were in a party of 6, 3 adults,two boys ages 5 and 9 and our dog Jock.Despite the changeable weather,our holiday was enhanced by the amenities within the cottage. An indoor hot tub meant that it could be used whatever the weather and the games room was perfect for keeping everyone amused in the evenings.The cottage itself was clean,warm and comfortable and the owners who live next door were discrete but always on hand to help out with any enquiries.The cottage has a large, mature garden, perfect for exploring and of course we were surrounded by dales so it was great for dog walking.We have enjoyed 5 years of UK holidays, but we all agreed that this was the best accommodation we had stayed in to date.

on arrival we were greeted by owner who proved to be always on hand but never intrusive.When shown first into garden and then around property were amazed at the size quality cleanliness of this lovely home from home.

An immaculate and roomy cottage providing lots of space for teenagers and adults but the real highlight for us was the stunning view. A sweeping vista across the moors beyond a beautifully maintained garden. It was an absolute delight.
Lots to do within reasonable distance for all age groups. Handy for touring over towards Newcastle and Durham or for more local country pursuits. Thoroughly recommended, we really didn't want to go home!
