Additional Location Information
Frye Island is located in Sebago Lake approximately 25 miles west of Portland, Maine. It became Maine's newest town in 1998, and the wonderful memories of that glorious July Fourth weekend will live on for years to come. There are two ferries that provide transportation to & from the Island on a scheduled basis. The Island is easy to find, just head towards Raymond, Maine on State Route 302.. There is a wonderful nine hole public golf course on the Island. A popular place on the Island for both people on the Island and boaters on Sebago Lake is Frye's Leap General Store & Cafe. There is a private marina with in-water boat docking for property owners on the Island; some slips are available for weekly rental for visitors and renters staying on the Island.

NYCPerfect! I will come back every year!!!
Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in September 2011
First...Michelle was wonderful! So efficient, so knowledgable, and so nice, I almost wanted to bring her along for my vacation! Wicked (named, I'm sure, after the smash Broadway Musical!), was incredible! Just minutes from the little General Store in "town", and only steps from the lake! Bring you canoe or kayak! Bring your fishing poles (not my thing...but have at it!) Grill out, or cook a fancy dinner in! Eat in my favorite room! It's like a little light house attached to the house (without the light, of course)! Watch TV! Read! It's so quiet here, I literally lost all track of time, and was able to actually relax!!!
Also important...laundry! The washer/dryer is great! Lots of bathrooms...you could come with several people...or alone! The master bedroom has it's own bathroom...and opens onto the deck!
I cannot say enough good things about my time here! In short, the area is so beautiful, and the house so grand...your only issue will be deciding whether or not to go outdoors, or stay inside. -

New JerseySerenity Now!
Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in September 2011
I have had the pleasure of vacationing at this home for 2 years now and I crave its peaceful surroundings all year long. The views here are so fabulous that I have photographed them to hang in my own home, so that I am reminded of their serentiy when I need it most. The house is beautifully kept and Frye Island is just such a unique place to visit. From the ferry ride, to the rocky beaches, my favorite local shops, and the beautiful birch trees. Everyone on the island uses golf carts to get around which I love. Its a private island, quiet, and tranquil. A nice change from the hustle and bustle of tourists on east coast beaches. This place has been an excellent haven to escape to with friends. we have had so many laughs here! The weather has been wonderful both times I visited...but even the rain here seems beautiful. My favorite room is surrounded in windows, perfect place just to read a book...the breezes throughout this home are magnificent. My only regret is having to leave. I highly suggested escaping to this house! Hurry!
