Description from the owner
The guest house is set within a large finca with a private swimming pool. It is centrally situated between the historic cities of Murcia and Cartagena, the beaches of the costa calida (warm coast), golf courses and Murcia airport all of which are within a half hours drive.
The guest house rooms are extremely spacious and are fitted with air conditioning. They also have en suite shower rooms, some of which are adapted for wheelchair users. The guest house is nestled in the peace and tranquillity of the countryside but is within a short driving distance from historic cities, beaches and golf courses. The immediate area is ideal for walking, cycling and bird watching.
There is plenty of off road parking around the guest house and for those who prefer not to drive we offer airport transfers and excursions in our wheelchair accessible minibus.

Have been here twice now... That says alot. John & Pat are always welcoming and very helpful with all the local knowledge stuff. The accomodation is lovely, the pool was fun too. Hire a car as there are so many places to venture and explore. The flamenco horses at a local restaurant are a sight to be believed. The local village is truely Spanish and we all loved it. We found a great cowboy show that was great for fun for all.

I have been to Las Golondrinas for the last several years. Alone and with my family. We have always been welcomed and looked after by Pat and John. The accomodation is clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The cottage is beautifully situated in a small hamlet surrounded by olive trees and lemon trees with mountains in the distance. Although in the country side, the sea and towns are easily reached by car.

We stayed this spring (2012) at Las Golondrinas and it was definetly enjoyable.
Pat is a great cook and the house is spacious and cool, beds are perfect.
Easy access to surrounding sights, we advise to visit Cartagena.

A quiet county retreat is what Pat & John offer with excellent home cooked meals, if you want them and a bar to relax at for a drink. The accommodation is clean and homily and wheelchair accessible with English TV air conditioning and everything you need for a holiday. The pool is excellent with full disabled access.
The property sits in a hamlet that is 30 minutes from beaches at Mazarron history at Cartagena or the
Parque Regional de Sierra Espuña with its stunning scenic views and wonderful mountains.
The towns around Las Golondrinas have wonderful markets and shops great restaurants and bars.
This is the real Spain not little England.

We have stayed with Pat & John regularly since discovering them a few years ago. All the stays have been perfect, very spacious accommodation, one even has it's own beautiful roof terrace, which is the perfect place to end the day watching the sun coming down.
Pat and John are the perfect hosts, helpful and welcoming. We can't wait to come back and recommend them to all our friends and family.

You could not wish for a more welcoming couple to greet you on arrival. Pat and John go out of their way to make your stay pleasurable.
Las Golondrinas country guest house has all the facilities to make that holiday in the sun special.
We have stayed on several occasions enjoying the convenience of being near the beach, harbour and restaurants.
