Casa Epfal is a spacious comfortable 5-bedroomed house in the peaceful village of Melegis offering views over the heart of the Lecrin Valley with its famous orange trees spreading out in the distance. The house is situated in the quiet part of the village were you can walk among the orange and lemon groves. The house is well-equipped and has partial air conditioning (master bedroom suite and living area) in summer and oil-fired central heating in winter. The Lecrin valley has been described in the Independent as one of the loveliest locations in the country, American Vogue has just described it as the “new Tuscany”, and it offers a window on the real Spain while still offering everything the holidaymaker needs - bank, shops, restaurants, bars. The location is equidistant (c40km) between historic Granada with the Alhambra Palace and the coves and beaches of The Costa Tropical. In season, the Sierra Nevada ski resort can be reached within an hour.
The village of Melegis is set amid lush orange and lemon orchards in the heart of the valley overlooking the lake Beznar. There are restaurant, shops and tapas bars within strolling distance including Los Naranjos with its lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the lake - one of the Valley's most popular restaurants.
We can put you in contact with people offering Spanish lessons, tapas tours of Granada, tours of the Albaicin, wine and food tasting of local specialities, walking trips, cycle tours, rock climbing, paragliding or courses in painting, cookery, flamenco.
