The "Gut Hütschhof" provides several vacation apartments in a country/farm style setting in Gerstungen, Thuringia. Our largest apartment "Gotland", furnished in Scandinavian style, offers space for 4-6 people. Enough space for all - a spacious kitchen and a larger bathroom. The master bedroom has two full-size beds and a seating area. The living room has two additional bunk beds. Our biggest apartment "Gotland" is decorated in Nordic style and has room for four. Enough space for all, it features a spacious kitchen and a larger bathroom. You can also spend the day outside if the weather is pleasant. You can walk or ride around our beautiful surroundings.

Apartments:

Located at the vineyard, in a quiet location. For 2 to 5 persons, about 48 square meters (63 square meters with 2 bedrooms, even), consisting of 1 or 2 optional bedrooms, large kitchen and shower / WC. Shower and toilet are tiled with natural stone.

Where feasible and appropriate, we have equipped the units with solid wood furniture. Another highlight is the "content" of beds: a high quality bed system (Hüsler Nest), consisting of natural solid wood, genuine natural latex and wool from free pastured sheep and organic cotton.

The floors are made of oiled solid wood planks. Swimming buffs have a pool in the yard.

Miscellaneous

Since we have expanded the ecological quality homes for people with allergies, we want to point out that smoking is not allowed in the apartments. Smokers may use the patio or the yard. Because the floor is made of natural wood, we are not able to accommodate pets.

Our south facing apartment does not have any directly adjoining terrace, but is located outside in the garden, a patio (table and four chairs, umbrella). By their orientation to the south it is slightly lighter and warms up quicker in spring and autumn.

Our terrace apartment is slightly larger, allowing an extra bed in the bedroom. It is quieter and has a large patio.

If you arrive by public transport, please let us know and we will pick you up from the train station or bus station. For last minute bookings (at least three days prior to arrival, minimum stay 4 nights), we offer a 10% discount. Try it out! This offer is valid only during the season from April to October.

Tucked away in the Thuringian forest, surrounded by the Wartburg castle and the fortress of Brandenburg, lies our farmhouse on the border of Ringgau. The romantic yet central location makes your stay an unforgettable experience.
For connoisseurs of our beautiful countryside, we offer spacious apartments. In construction we used only ecologically sound materials like untreated wood and mud.
Bike and Motorcycle Trips:
Anyone who indulges in motorcycles in Germany will find accommodation that fits on the Hütschhof. Secluded, yet directly connected to the winding paths of the Thuringian Forest. Pure riding pleasure. Without an engine one can also take part in our special bicycle experiences. Who wants guided tours of the Rennsteig and the Thuringian Mittelgebirge receives individual attention from our guides.
Free use of public transport!
We offer our guests free use of very good public transport! During your stay you have all the buses and trains (except ICE, IC, EC of Deutsche Bahn, and cable cars) available for free! And indeed, from Basel to [= destination: achern: Achern:] and from the Rhine to the Black Forest. The S-Bahn goes daily in half-hourly rhythm to Freiburg.

Directions:
By train:
From Freiburg station with the regional S-Bahn (half-hourly) toward Breisach. In Gottenheim transfer toward Endingen. 4th stop at Eichstetten. From there it is about 1 km on foot into the village. By prior appointment we'll pick you up.
By car:
Highway 5, exit Teningen. Follow the signs to Eichstetten (approx. 5 miles). Come across the historic bridge Dreisambruecke into our village, and you're already on the main road. Follow the road until you arrive at the right hand side at house number 94.
More travel info about Gerstungen: Gerstungen is a small town in Thuringia, known as “the green heart of Germany.” Visit Wartburg castle in nearby Eisenach, where Martin Luther translated the Bible from Greek to German in 1522 and where Johann Sebastian Bach was born and baptized in 1685. Only 10 kilometers away you can walk the "Treetop Path" at the Hainich National Park (wheelchair access is available), part of the largest deciduous forest in all of Germany.
