The apartment is new, well furnished, completely equipped. Everything was exactly according the description here on Tripadvisor. We would definitely stay there again.
Marcia was very friendly and helpful in each situation. Really appreciate it!
The city centre is about 10 minutes of walk down the street but about 20 if you want to go back:) -

We arrived late at night and it was no problem to get the keys. After entering the apartment we were thrilled. It was very new and furnished very modern.
It was clean and we felt like being home.
On the terrace we had a big table for 6 people and balcony furniture as well.
If you want you can walk to Funchal city in only 20 Minutes. Then youll be at the market or the harbour. -

Have just finished a two week stay here - excellent. I almost didn't book up as I thought it looked too good for the price and may not be legit - but it is exactly as described on the website ! The apartments are new, modern and well equipped and in a great location in Funchal. Good views over the city/harbour and access to a lovely pool and well equipped gym. A 10-15 minute walk takes you to the old parts of the City and a range of restaurants, coffee bars and shops etc. (Uphill on the way home but you get used to it very quickly). Marcia and angelo are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The service from Marcia and her husband was first class. They were on handed as and when needed, not intrusive. The apartment we stayed in was a 1 bed with a sofa that could be turned into a second bed. The views from the apartment were fantastic, the verandah was huge the furnishings were all excellent with plenty of towels provided. The apartment is up a very steep drive which we eventually got used to but less able people would benefit from a car. Unfortunately the mattress on the bed was far too hard for us and as has already been suggested, a mattress topper would have solved the problem, as a result we did not have one good nights sleep all week, we even tried the sofa bed which was just as hard. We even contemplated transferring to a hotel but when we spoke to Marcia she brought lots of extra bedding and we tried to make a topper, I must say not very successfully, however, Marcia did agree with us that the mattress was far too hard and promised to sort this, hopefully she will arrange to have it changed for a middle of the road "hotel" mattress to ensure that no-one else has to endure a sleepless holiday.

We really needed a warm break after a long and cold winter in the UK. A week in warm Madeira seemed just the ticket and the owner of Living Funchal did all she could to help us enjoy our short, but much needed holiday.
From waiting at the airport for our late arrival to bringing us umbrellas on a rainy day Marcia, the owner, was informative and kind, whilst not intruding on our holiday.
The apartment was spotless and very well equipped with marvellous views across the nestled town of Funchal towards the port with its ocean liners sweeping in and out loaded like some weird factory farm of a strange holidaying species (not for us!). With plenty of historic buildings to admire and gardens to explore a week is easily filled with something new every day and there is always shopping at hand.
Down near the front prices are high and typically predatory, but a few hundred yards into the town and traders are more realistic. Admire but don't buy at the fruit and flower market - prices are a rip-off but the building's interesting and dry on a rainy day.
I can easily recommend Madeira for its calm and beautiful gardens and Funchal has a warren of interesting side streets and squares, if all built into a fairly steep sided hill. A trip to the gardens by bus up to Monte is a must both for the gardens there and the splendid views. -

A beautiful, peaceful apartment with wonderful views and absolutely pristine throughout. We were welcomed with Madeira wine and fresh flowers. Located just far enough from the centre to ensure tranquillity, but an easy walk from everything you need. A great starting point for a lovely holiday.

We arrived stayed here for 9 days and had a wonderful time. The flat was new and clean and contained everything we needs including Wifi. The location was 10 - 15mins walk to the center. its a few minutes by taxi, a better option for those who prefer not to walk back to the apartment as its uphill.
Would recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable and spacious place with a homely feel.
