Barrie, CanadaBreathtaking, serene, incredible value!
Left on 05/03/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed at Villa Prisca a in april and did not want to leave when it was time. There is something so special about the peace and serenity of being at the top of this mountain, with a beautiful private balcony overlooking the sea, from sunrise to glorious sunsets, away from the chaos of busy and crowded tourist towns, yet close enough to easily access endless attractions, (such as Pompei) for day trips. Maria and Marcello are incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to help us with our needs. We were content to travel without a car, and managed well with public transportation and taxis arranged for us with Maria and Marcello's help. We were very pleased with recommendations made by Marcello, which he arranged for us at our request, including a boat trip around Capri and spectacular views of the coastline. The hiking is spectacular. The path of the gods is well named. We hiked into Rovello one day, and spent a night at a wonderfully scenic, economical bed and breakfast there, which again was arranged for us by Marcello,. Maria and Marcello treated us as friends. The beautiful, spacious, clean apartment felt like home. Even cooking in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, using fresh locally made, baked, and grown foods, was an absolute pleasure. We also enjoyed fabulous dishes at a local restaurant called The Rabbit which Marcello suggested. Strange name for an Italian restaurant, but the food was mouth-watering fresh and delicious. It is a gift to find such a gem, so economical, truly relaxing... this is a spectacular vacation spot. I recommend it all of my friends. We will definitely return...

Saint Saud, Dordogne, FranceWalking with the Gods
Left on 11/28/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Situated right at the upper edge of Furore, Villa Prisca (otherwise known as Il Dolce Tramonto)is well placed for all the amenities of Bomerano (Agerola), including the stunning Path of the Gods walk to Positano. The location might not suit those wishing to be at sea level on the amalfi Coast but it was perfect for us...and it offers superb views from every room. We mostly left our car at the Villa and travelled everywhere by bus. Maria and Marcello gave us a very warm welcome and many useful tips on places to visit.

Left on 06/10/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Staying at Villa Prisca has to rate as one of the best holidays of my life. We felt instantly relaxed upon arrival - the house was spotless and surprisngly large and the terrace has the most wonderful views. It's location is spot on - it's high above the tourist spots of Positano (which we hated) and amalfi - and it;s all the better for being a distance away. The closest town which we walked to most days had the most incredible array of produce - five butchers, countless delis, a fab bakery, pasta store, amazing fruit and veg, You can even buy locally made butter and milk. We ate in most nights due to this bounty - and the kitchen was a delight to cook in. The beaches are a bit of a drive - but we found that by avoiding the main coast road and walking to beaches by taking roads off the main road down to the coast road we managed to avoid most of the hideous drives - the coast road is pretty hectic and full on with tons of tourist buses. I would recommend going to the Furore fjiord beach - which you can access via the signs to Furore Inn resort - it's a pretty decent walk but beautiful. And conca di marinia is also beautiful - busier but not horribly so. The owners were lovely too. And the price was pretty amazing as well. All in all a perfect villa, a perfect location and a perfect holiday.

635678Fabulous holiday - with views we will never forget!
Left on 06/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Stayed here May/June 2012 and the photos do not do the views justice - the absolutely best thing about our stay, especially the sunsets and full moon across the water. The apartments was basic but comfortable (cooking space was quite limited, but a minor thing) and it was very clean with plenty of towels for us. Owners were very helpful (despite our language barriers!) and the local town was great for fresh food - can definitely recommend the Mozarella and pastries/bread from the local deli and bakery. Our children were never bored, plenty to do in and around the area - although any destination involved lots of mountain roads and hairpin bends! Would definitely recommend

The holiday to Villa Prisca a was the most enjoyable holiday that my wife and I have experienced in our 25 years of travelling abroad. Maria and Marcello made us very welcome on our arrival and nothing was any trouble to them, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and everything imaginable was supplied so as to make our self catering holiday perfect in every respect. The location was surperb with views out over the Gulf of Salerno breathtaking, and to top that off the nieghbours were just lovely, hospitable and very welcoming to there visitors in Villa Prisca a from australia, all in all a truly fantastic holiday, thankyou very much.

Eliot, Mainegreat villa - relaxing stay
Left on 09/04/2009 for a stay in May 2009
We loved this home! The owner was very helpful, though he spoke little
English and we little Italian. the view was magnificent, and the house is only a
mile from bus service that will take you anywhere on the peninsula. Our
accommodations were classy and spotless; it was nice to have access to doing
laundry on site. The neighborhood is quiet and "old Italy", complete with
farmers and ancient stone ruins. The price was very fair, and we would highly
recommend Villa Prisca A as a delightful respite from the hectic coastline.
