In the heart of the Chianti Classico is where you'll find this house and it's location is not only to be appreciated because it's a short drive to town, but because it's set high on a hill with magnificent views of the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. At this Italian accommodation you'll be able to hear only the sounds of nature as you play tennis, swim in your private pool, and have homemade meals on your terrace, perhaps ones you learned in a cooking class! Don't waste one more minute contemplating where to stay because this Tuscany house is a sure hit.

Set high on a hill overlooking the surrounding hills and val...leys, this house is in a secluded and quiet position. Within an enclosed garden there is a terrace furnished with a barbecue, pizza oven, and a table with chairs covered by an umbrella. There is a private swimming pool (7.5m x 5.5m) surrounded by sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and landscaped greenery. There is also a tennis court 50 meters away that is shared with another house nearby, which can be rented under the name Chiantigiani Maggiore. Both properties can be rented together under the name Le Sorelle Chiantigiane. An unpaved road of two kilometers leads to the property and parking is available within the grounds.

Ground floor: Upon entering the house, there is a living room with couches, chairs, a fireplace, and satellite TV. There is also a dining table with chairs and an open kitchen equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, toaster, American coffee maker, and dishwasher. There is one bedroom suite on this floor that has a sitting area with a sofa bed (suitable for one), a 160 cm queen-sized bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. A guest bathroom has two sinks, a toilet, and a shower.

First floor: A staircase of 10 steps leads up to the first floor. The first bedroom is situated in the loft and please be aware that it is only separated by a curtain. It has two 80 cm narrow single beds, most comfortable for children. The second bedroom has two 80 cm narrow single beds (which can be connected to form a queen-size bed upon prior request). There are two bathrooms on this floor, each with a sink, toilet, and shower.

The property is located six kilometers from the characteristic medieval village of Radda in Chianti. Centered around the 14th century church of San Nicolo and the Palazzo Pretorio, Radda in Chianti is situated on a hill and features shops, restaurants, markets, banks, and a post office. The property is also in an excellent location for visiting Siena and San Gimignano, both of which are about a half hour drive away. Siena is a wonderfully preserved example of the Tuscan Middle Ages, and a treasure trove of gothic palaces, churches, and museums. It's also well known for its exiting bi-annual bareback horse races, the Palio, held once in July and once in August. San Gimignano is one of the most visited towns in Tuscany and is known for its rich history dating back to the Etruscan times. Popular attractions include the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and several museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also plenty of wine tasting tours, art galleries, shops, and delicious restaurants. It's also possible to take day trips to Volterra and Florence.

  It was a good experience. We used the villa as our base for day trips, and it was centrally located. Nestled among the vineyards, it was quintessential Tuscany.
  
  The central location to all the major Tuscan sites worked well. Size was perfect for 2 couples. It was great to have access to a clothes washer. The layout of the villa was great, with a separate upstairs, and multiple bathrooms. We also enjoyed the tennis court. The pool looked nice, but it was a little cool. We loved the cooking class we set up. Our chef Maria Rosa, and her helper Lina, were great!
  
  The vineyards and small villages were beautiful, and scenery was spectacular.

  This is a great place to stay in Tuscany. I can't imagine better.
  
  The outside grounds, with the private pool and sunny patio overlooking the hills and a distant castle. We ate all our meals on this patio.
  
  Ideally situated between Siena and Florence. All the hill towns we wanted to visit were at most 1 1/2 hours away. Siena is only a half hour away. Nearby Radda was a surprisingly charming, friendly town that had everything we needed in restaurants, shopping and even a wine shop.
