With over 4500 square feet, this six-bedroom home is ideal for your next family gathering, business meeting or Galena getaway for you and your friends. For smaller groups, there are reduced rate options that allow for the rental of only four or five bedrooms. But whether you reserve four, five or all six bedrooms, you'll be entitled to the private and exclusive use of the home. You will also... be situated only 20 minutes from downtown Galena, where quaint shops and fine dining await your arrival.

The most popular activities in the Galena Territory and surrounding areas include skiing at Chestnut Mountain, hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, tennis, Bocce, indoor basketball and playing the challenging golf courses at the Eagle Ridge Resort. Hot air balloon rides are also available and a favorite activity of resort residents and guests.

Whether you decide to ride horseback, take a balloon ride or visit downtown Galena, pleasant surroundings and a charming home will be there to greet you when you return. Relax in the privacy of the soothing hot tub, screened porch or spacious decks. Located on a secluded and timbered ridge in the Galena Territory, this six bedroom Galena vacation rental home offers panoramic views of its rustic surroundings. From several vantage points inside, as well as from the home's outside decks and screened porch, you can view only woods and valleys for as far as you can see. Deer roam the property and surrounding areas freely, and if you're lucky, you may even spot a fawn.

In addition to the vacation home's pool table, foos ball table, fireplace, gas grill, HD plasma TVs, DVD players, and outdoor hot tub, guests have free access to the Galena Territory Owner's Club Complex. The club has indoor and outdoor swimming pools that were installed new in 2012, an indoor basketball court, tennis courts, bocci courts, volleyball courts, weight & exercise rooms, and a large game room.

Other Galena area activities include hiking, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, winery tours, historical tours, fine dining, golf, boating, fishing, museums, browsing quaint shops, skiing at nearby Chestnut Mountain, or racing down its alpine slide in summer, as well as riverboat and land-based casino gambling in Dubuque.

Whether reserving 4 bedrooms, 5 bedrooms or 6 bedrooms, the home has parking for seven cars and is easily accessible from US Highway 20.

Our rates are based upon the number of bedrooms rented, as well as weekend and seasonal demand. The $550 rate reflects 4 bedrooms rented on a weekday during non-peak season. The $825 rate reflects 6 bedrooms rented on a weekend during peak season. Please call for further details and special discounts that may apply.

  My best friends from college and I spent a three-night ladies’ weekend in Galena last summer,and we enjoyed our getaway so much that we’ve decided to make this an annual event. The quaint shops downtown, the restaurants, and the beauty of Galena were wonderful. But the best part of our trip was the vacation home we rented named A Charming Galena Vacation Home Rental. We can't wait to go back for our return visit this summer.
  
  
  First,the home was located on a ridge overlooking beautiful woods and valleys in the resort area called the Galena Territory. As pleasant and relaxing as the views from the home were, the home itself was actually better. We had this beautiful secluded home with six bedrooms all to ourselves, at a price much less than a bed & breakfast or hotel. There were eleven of us and we all enjoyed the beamed-ceiling room with plasme TV, as well as the huge family room that had foosball and pool tables, a big screen TV, and a hot tub that was right outside on a screened deck. We enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain, because it was under a roof. We also liked being able to spread out in different areas of the home, depending on what we wanted to do. Some of us could watch TV, play a dvd movie on a different TV or talk in front of the fireplace in the comfortable den. We even arranged for massages at the home by a local therapist. On the last day of our visit, we also went on a hot air balloon ride. Our favorite restaurant was Fried Green Tomatoes. We also enjoyed hiking, horseback riding and visiting the casino in Dubuque. Whatever we did away from our vacation home, we were always happy to return at the end of the day. We are really looking forward to coming back this summer,this time for four nights!
