Nestled in the woods above Lake Galena in The Galena Territory, Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa, a private 450' timber-lined driveway leads to the sheltered seclusion of The Lake House. Accommodates up to 8 guests, 2 levels with three beautiful bedroom suites (queen beds), 3 1/2 baths. The master suite has a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry, and family room with pool table and satelite TV that opens out to a beautiful deck with the outdoor Hot Tub that is kept hot year round.
We (Bob and Bobbie Johnson) have been renting our homes in The Galena Territory, Eagle Ridge since 1995.

Weekdays are Monday - Thursday nights. Weekend rates apply on Sundays or weekdays of Holidays including Country Fair Weekend. 3 night min. for holidays.
$100.00 deposit required to secure reservation. Balance due upon arrival. Sorry, no credit cards.
Reservation require a 2 week notice of cancellation for refund.
No substitutes or refunds on unused portions of reservations.
If hot tub fails and can not be fixed before your departure we will refund you $10.00 per day.
We are not responsible for any health issues when using the hot tub.
Rates based upon 1 - 2 Guests per bedroom. Please no pets or smoking in our homes.

Troy MOA Snowy, Secluded Santuary... Nestled in Winter's Woods

My wife and I were privileged to experience a winter wonderland weekend at the Lake House near Galena, Illinois. The cozy surroundings as well as the comfort of a private home were the highlights of our trip to Galena. Our first evening, it snowed several inches which refreshed the landscape in a blanket of white. The blazing fireplace was... oh...so relaxing. That evening, the snow collected on the bough's of the surrounding timber which looked like a Rockwell painting. Quiet, peace, and soliltude reigned. Sunday, we even viewed people ice fishing on Lake Galena from the large windows which surrounded the back of the house. The place looked new and was pristine as far as cleaniness. Lots of pluses!!!

Wonderful home in a beautiful, private location!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful home for only two nights and were sorry to leave. If it would have been available I think we would have extended our stay. Bobbie was wonderful answering questions and making special arrangements for me before arrival. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The master bed room is very nice and has a huge bathroom with a large whirlpool tub and a shower. The bed is a queen pillowtop and very comfortable. The house backs up to the lake and all of the large windows have a beautiful view. The kitchen has everything you need. There is a deck and a screened in porch off the main level. It was too cold and rainy for us to use them, but we will be back. There are two more bedrooms downstairs, both with queen beds. There is also a great pool table that we enjoyed using. We did also enjoy the beautiful, new looking hot tub and the lower level deck. We are so glad we rented this house and we enjoyed the comfort and the beautiful location for our time in Galena. The house is tricky to find, but easy distance from town and our GPS had no trouble finding it.

This was our 5th time at "The Lake House" in Galena. Now that we have officially reserved a week each year, for our family to spend time together at this beautiful home, I will write a review :-) I am confident that anyone who reads this & rents this "Haven in the Woods" will be back many times, just as we have and will continue to do! This time we had all ten of us. :-) 7 adults & 3 children under 8 years old. Everything was so perfect & the house, as always, was equipped with anything you can think of! The hot tub was perfect even in the 75 degree heat at night! The bright stars & the full moon were breathtaking! The Pool table, screened in porch for family games, large living room, large dining room for all family meals, 3 great sized bedrooms each having a private bathroom, a hid-a-bed couch downstairs with Direct TV for the kids at night to fall asleep watching their favorite Nick at Night shows was oh sooo helpful after a long fun day at the new Club House Facility that just opened up in May! An outdoor & indoor pool, ping pong inside in the game room, basketball court, workout room & more! Yipppeee... That place is perfect and has everything, too! My husband & I love the winters here too! We were here during the most beautiful snow last January - it was just like we were inside a snow globe as we sat in the hot tub! This home is truly like "Heaven on Earth!” I can speak for all 10 of us to say - Thank you Bobbie & Bob for letting our family create so many wonderful memories! Life is so busy & you just have to stop & take time to help your family bond strong & healthy!
